Do you young men need something to add to your holiday gift list? How about asking for a small donation to our program! As we look to bolster our fundraising efforts, we are starting with holding a Winter Donations Drive. No lofty goals this time, anything we get is better than nothing and every little bit helps. It’s the season of giving and you never know who is willing to generously donate unless you ask. Family, friends, neighbors, employers, local businesses looking for end of year write-offs, anyone!

Anyone willing to donate may reasonably wonder what purchases our donations go to…

I would encourage you to explain our next purchases will be rounding out our equipment to get more modern and high school standard equipment. Last year, we had many players try out which lead us to having to hand out 15+ year old equipment (Seriously, it was used when I played here 05-08!). As we hope to continue to grow our program in numbers, we want to ensure we can suit up every player interested with quality protective gear.

Jerseys are also on the list as we need to purchase them this year. HCPSS has an agreement with Under Armour which requires athletic teams to use UA Jerseys, which aren’t the cheapest. We do get a small budget from Boosters (support and/or join!), but we can supplement that with our own funds. This will help us to purchase jerseys of a quality that will reliably last for the 6+ years they are to be used.

After those two larger purchases, there are other smaller things like balls, cones and other practice equipment, tournament fees for our Spring Break tournaments, funds for other team events we can hold, senior events, team bags, etc.
